Janice Low is a Canadian visual artist whose vibrant acrylic paintings and fine art photography celebrate the beauty of both natural and urban environments. With an eye for composition and colour, her work reflects a deep appreciation for landscape, architecture, and visual storytelling—inviting collectors into thoughtfully rendered scenes that elevate interior and corporate spaces alike.
Originally based in Winnipeg, Janice was active with the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Great West Life Corporate Exhibitions, the Cre8ery Gallery, and the Manitoba Camera Club. Since relocating to the Niagara region, she has exhibited extensively with the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre, RiverBrink Art Museum, Niagara Falls Art Gallery, and St. Catharines Art Association. Her work has been recognized with awards including Best in Show and First Place, and her paintings and photographs are held in both private and institutional collections.
Janice’s practice bridges painting and photography, often drawing inspiration from plein air excursions and vibrant murals photographed across Canada, the U.S., and Europe. Whether capturing the play of light in an urban alleyway or the stillness of a rural scene, her goal is to create art that resonates deeply with viewers and collectors—enriching both public and personal spaces.
In addition to her studio work, Janice is an active contributor to Niagara’s arts community. She has coordinated exhibitions for Parkway Artists Guild, painted a public piano for “PlayPlayPlay!” Niagara Falls, and donated artworks to community auctions supporting arts education. Her work can be found in venues including the Niagara Falls Library Galleries, RiverBrink Art Museum’s gift shop, and online through various artists’ collectives.
Collectors value Janice’s ability to capture a sense of place with warmth, clarity, and creative flair—making her work a compelling addition to contemporary Canadian art collections.
