Peg Noble

Peg Noble is a Niagara-based acrylic painter known for her contemporary realist approach that captures the emotional charm of architecture, the expressive beauty of animals, and the innocence of children. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for detail, composition, and story, appealing to collectors who value both technical skill and heartfelt subject matter.

Peg’s artistic journey has been shaped by a lifelong passion for the visual arts and influenced by the refined brushwork of John Singer Sargent, the atmosphere of Monet’s impressionism, the bold palette of the Group of Seven, and the gestural energy of Painters Eleven. Adding a personal layer of inspiration is her brother, an abstract painter based in Ladysmith, BC.

Working primarily in acrylic, Peg combines careful observation with expressive flourishes to create work that feels both grounded and emotionally resonant. Whether depicting a familiar local building, a beloved animal companion, or a candid childhood moment, her paintings evoke warmth, memory, and connection.

An active member of the St. Catharines Art Association and the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre, Peg has exhibited in a range of venues across the Niagara Region. Highlights include shows at the John Mann Gallery, Rosberg Gallery, Firehall Theatres (Niagara Falls), and the Dunlop Centre in St. Catharines, where she also contributed to two murals and three community calendars. Peg has, in the past, displayed at the Grimsby and Pelham Libraries and is held in numerous private collections.
