PRESS RELEASE: Armstrong Fine Art Consulting brings “Under Control” to Atelier Ironwood

Opening in conjunction with Pride Niagara’s closing day celebrations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ON – May 2026 – Armstrong Fine Art Consulting is proud to present Under Control, a group exhibition featuring four contemporary Canadian artists who identify within the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Opening on the final day of Pride Niagara, the exhibition celebrates both artistic innovation and the ongoing commitment to inclusivity within the Niagara arts community.

Hosted at Atelier Ironwood, Ironwood Cider House’s 2nd floor, a venue recognized for its dedication to diversity and accessibility through its Rainbow Registered designation received in summer 2025, Under Control reflects a shared ethos of openness, visibility, and support for 2SLGBTQ+ voices in contemporary art.

Curated by Armstrong Fine Art Consulting, Under Control brings together artists Alex Chorny, Brad Eyre, Ana Norton, and Jadyn Deming, each offering a distinct approach to the idea of control within their practice. Working across painting, sculpture, and pyrography, these artists explore the tension between intention and unpredictability, revealing how structure and spontaneity coexist within the creative process.

At its core, Under Control examines the limits of what can be directed, shaped, or contained. Whether through the influence of natural forces, the translation of digital identity into physical form, or the irreversible mark-making of hand-driven processes, the works in this exhibition highlight the importance of experimentation, curiosity, and the acceptance of imperfection.
