Debra Zubrinich is a Canadian painter celebrated for her bold, colour-saturated works in oil and acrylic. Her vibrant, intuitive paintings range from expressive abstracts to recognizable landscapes and still lifes—inviting collectors to experience both emotional spontaneity and visual harmony.

Debra’s journey into painting began in 1978 through a chance encounter that led to her first oil painting class. That spark ignited a lifelong passion, fueled by ongoing training in drawing, watercolour, and alcohol ink, as well as plein air landscape painting in Italy and advanced studies in abstraction.

Her work draws inspiration from everyday surroundings—Niagara’s forests and lakes, shifting skies, and travel experiences—all filtered through her unique interpretational style. Zubrinich balances structure and freedom in each piece, creating compositions that are deeply personal yet universally resonant.
