Valerie Huibers is a Canadian realist painter whose impressionistic touch brings warmth and clarity to landscapes, florals, and portraiture. Working primarily in acrylics, with additional practices in watercolour, pastel, coloured pencil, and charcoal, Valerie's art reflects a lifelong commitment to capturing the beauty of nature and the human spirit.
With over 40 years of dedication to her craft, Valerie has exhibited widely, including the Pelham Art Show, TAG Gallery, and ongoing showcases with the Parkway Artists’ Guild in the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens. A long-time member of the Niagara Plein Air Artists Group, she regularly paints in the region’s diverse and vibrant landscapes.
Valerie’s early career in interior decorating helped hone her instinct for colour and composition—a strength that now defines her signature style. Her work invites viewers to feel the emotion of a scene, expressed through subtle brushwork and harmonious palettes.
