Self-taught and passionately dedicated to her craft, Peters has developed a signature style shaped by decades of creative exploration. Working primarily in acrylic and collage, she embraces a layered, improvisational process—blending brushwork, textures, and spontaneous gestures to achieve compelling visual depth and emotional resonance.

Described as “from soul to hand,” Cathy’s work captures both fleeting impressions and enduring emotions. Whether reflecting quiet introspection or bold vitality, her paintings offer a powerful aesthetic experience that invites personal connection and reflection.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Cathy Peters has exhibited widely in solo and group shows throughout Ontario, the U.S., and beyond. She is a multi-award-winning artist, with honours from juried exhibitions including the Camelback Gallery (AZ), Pelham Art Festival, and the Rose Festival.
