Che Ree Kwon began painting in her early years and pursued her studies up to a Master’s degree in Fine Arts in South Korea. Trained formally in academia, she developed a distinct approach rooted in exploring memory, emotion, and cultural identity through layered compositions and mixed media.

Working primarily in painting, Che Ree Kwon explores themes of memory, emotion, and cultural diversity, often using layered compositions that combine organic forms, geometric shapes, textures, and balanced colours. Notable highlights include her solo exhibition Looking Through the Window (2023) at Cedar Ridge Creative Centre Gallery. She has participated in juried and curated group exhibitions such as Unity in Diversity (2025) at Silo Gallery, Museum of Dufferin, and Sounds Across Landscape (2025) at Gallery 191, Clark Centre for the Arts.
